{beams happily} That's a lovely description of the story - I hadn't thought of it like that but you're quite right, that's the mood. Melancholy towards their past and hopeful for the future with them balanced right between.
Well, they're both offering - there's going to be changes on both sides going forward. But it's definitely up to Lex as to whether they try or not, and Clark will have to accept parts of Lex that he's not before, so yeah; brains and brawn together, and Lex is really putting himself out there with the offer. They both want it, and they can do it if they try. :)
