You make my heart ache for both of them, especially since we know that all this didn't happen. I think you've captured Clark's fears here very well - the boy was terrified back in S3 and he had good reason to be so. And his fear and his guilt would inevitably lead him to avoid Lex and before long... the rift. I love the way you broke through the cycle of lies.
