This is beyond awesome, and it broke my heart into a thousand little pieces -- just like Clarks's -- and then miraculously made everything better. *hugs you and twirls you around* Thank you SO much! I love the way this plays out, with Clark avoiding Lex out of guilt, and Lex avoiding Clark for the same reason, and then Clark finally being driven to offer Lex the truth, and Lex offering him truth in return. I love Lex taking the tiny clues he has and trying to fit them into a picture that makes sense: first, that he must have done something terrible to Clark while crazy or drunk, and then that he and Clark must have become lovers and he'd forgotten. I love all the insights (Lex getting rid of the castle's surveillance to protect Clark; Lex creating the Clark-room to try to prove to himself that he wasn't going crazy, only to have the dichotomy make things worse), and I love the way they both get past the fear and the anger, and strengthen their bond. *blissful sigh* Thank you again; this is purely beautiful.
