Ok, -this-. So many Unfortunate Implications subtly realized in just that one sentence. SO. MANY.
But an annual Super Villains and Superheroes Ball? Really? Really?! --I kind of want to steal this idea now, except you did it with perfect execution, so maybe not :-P :)
But Cassie! --and Lex to the rescue on the dance floor, with that purposeful pause before "For this dance"! --and knowing that he did a Superman rescue on purpose, even if it was only regretfully temporary! --and! --and! Ah, too much awesomeness!
(Married seven times -- really? ...Well, I guess that would help make it stick ;)
...Goodness though, I hope Green Arrow doesn't go villain over this! ^_^;;
This was a perfect Smallville-DCU mix, and the little points to explain the history-shifts from Smallville-major to DCU-minor (like Doomsday and Conner's back-history being DCU not SV) were very fluid and well-timed -- Love it! Love it! Love it!
