Yeah, this was the one. It does get better, but that middle section is just... um, yeah, made myself cry. Not sure if it conveyed quite the same to the readers, but it definitely was there.
Lex wants Clark in his tomb - if they have to go, they'll go together, and Clark wanted too there, before Bruce saved him. Clark will take him to the Fortress and one day... one day...
Or we could go back to the present and have the tearful teenage Clark be the Clark he is and learn from it instead. Heh, yes, I can just imagine what the people in the meeting with Lex are saying about Clark bursting in like that! ^_^ But being in Lex's arms makes everything okay, and Lex will make sure of that. :)
