When I watched that episode, and I saw *Kal* show up at Lex's funeral... I just caught my breath, it was such an incredible moment. Kal doesn't care for anything Smallville, barely tolerates Chloe... but he came to stand with all of them for Lex's funeral. I was particularly pissed at Lana in that moment for driving him off. He's there for Lex's *funeral* and she had to try and make it about her? What sane human being does that? {cough} But anyway, I always count that as one of the biggest signs of the Clark portion of the relationship being just as strong as the Lex portion, even if the Clark side wasn't always shown to the viewers as much.
